ALBPS

Our hepatobiliary surgeons are all accredited with the ANZHPBA and have public appointments at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and Flinders Medical Centre. They have responsibilities in surgical trainee and university medical school teaching and are involved in ongoing clinical research. 

 

Our hepatobiliary surgeons run the Statewide Liver Transplant Unit and are accredited specialist liver transplant surgeons.

 

Services provided include: 

 

Endoscopic and laparoscopic procedures:

- Upper GI endoscopy 

- Complex interventional endoscopy including endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreaticography (ERCP)

Pancreas, Liver and Gallbladder: 

- Laparoscopic & Open Liver Surgery 

- Laparoscopic & Open Pancreatic Surgery 

- Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy / Gallbladder and Biliary Surgery 

 

General Surgery: 

- Laparoscopic hernia repair 

- Laparoscopic and open splenectomy 

- All forms of Emergency General Surgery including trauma, appendicectomy and laparotomy
