Consultant General & Colorectal Surgeon 

TC completed a doctorate in neurogastroenterology with Prof David Wattchow while undertaking his training in General Surgery. Post FRACS, he completed accredited subspecialty training with the CSSANZ and is a formal member.

 

He is a recipient of coveted awards from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) Foundation including the 2012 W.G. Norman Fellowship and the 2013 R.P. Jepson Medal. He also received the Flinders University Foundation Scholarship (2011, 2012) and was awarded the RACS Covidien SA Registrar's Paper Prize three times during his training years. He is well published and his research work is accessible online. He is a Staff Specialist at FMC, and an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the College of Medicine and Public Health, Flinders University supervising candidates of higher degrees in Surgery/Physiology.

TC has subspecialty expertise in minimally invasive / laparoscopic (keyhole) colorectal surgery for inflammatory bowel disease (IBD- Crohn's & ulcerative colitis and is affiliated with IBD SA) and endometriosis; and complex pelvic surgery and proctology, including haemorrhoid surgery, perianal fistula disease and pilonidal disease. He also offers a broad range of General Surgical procedures and is GESA accredited for colonoscopy.
